Here is another fine example. In 1986, Major D.F. (Yogi) Huyghebaert led an historic five plane flypast at the Abbotsford Airshow. The other aircraft came from the U.S., Italy, France, and Brazil.

HHMMM Nothing against France but, French Canadians are from Quebec, Canada. The team is 100% Canadian. Hmmm....nothing against Quebec but not all french canadians are from Quebec. French speaking Canadians live in virtually every province in this country. In fact where I live, almo...

It might just be you....doesn't the red on the American flag and the emblem on the hanger floor appear more faded also? In fact the contrast level seems a bit high in that first shot.

Good find Rhino. There's also a french movie that was popular in Europe featuring the Mirage 2000 I think, called Les Chevaliers du Ciel or translated to Skyfighters in the English release. The aerial photograpghy is fantastic. Here a link to a trailer of sorts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGCAgK...

As interesting as all this is about dirty vertical fins and nostalgic memories of loud Phantoms, I think the intent of my post got lost. The picture I stumbled on while researching Canada's Golden Hawks conveys the cooperation and longstanding goodwill between national aerobatic display teams, parti...

Canada/US aviation history

At the end of the airshow season in 1959, the first year of the RCAF Golden Hawks, the first ever joint North American formation in Canada took place at the Canadian International Airshow as part of the Canada National Exhibit. The formation was led by Fern Villneuve decorated hero and the first lea...

Not long after I met Striker and found myself on the same channel with him on Ventrilo one day, there was some confusion due to our very similar nicks. I told the others sharing the channel that Striker was my evil twin and maybe I mentioned something about him not being able to spell very well. Tru...

I first saw the T-birds in the T-38's twice at Loring AFB in Maine, USA back in the late 70's and early 80's. Saw them once in the F16 after that and as cool as that was, that T-38 is still hard to beat.

Are you on the payroll or something? I've been using AVG for several years without any problems. After reading this thread I visited Panda for a free online scan and unlike you it turned up nothing. In other words, I've been well protected with AVG. I'm not sure your correct about the free ver...

THX LD. Thats exactly what I was suspecting...a small typo. Gunner's post would have solved that issue when I copied and pasted his post into my config file and matched the resolution, but that didn't work either. It turns out that the problem is I messed up a manual install of the VSB Tutor mod. I ...
