Huh, never would have guessed I counted that well from the other side of the field.

So if I understand correctly, at some point this year there will be 16 TBird aircraft?

Count of Tbird aircraft currently

OK, how many do they have? I counted ten on the ramp yesterday. I assume two are Block 52s (or whatever the newest ones are). Will they be keeping all the older ones for flying until they are all in the same aircraft?

I tend to avoid early comments not because of liability (none of us have inside information), none of us (to my knowledge) work for BA, and none of us speak for anyone other then ourselves. I try to refrain from comment on the principal that there are MANY potential factors. The Wing commander of my...

A dual engine failure? When's the last time that happened? I'm gonna guess (and the authorities are free to prove me wrong) that it was fuel starvation or contanimation. The odds of accidently shutting down both engines are like a billion to one. The odds of failure in one engine is long (but it hap...

I checked out that model at CES. It still needs work. Unless you look at it from the center position you get artifacts. Go to the left or right any more then a hair and you see that. It seems like it's two or three monitors internally and from the side you can see where they blend. I don't think it ...

Yay, I finally got to see the show that I missed while I was there! Thanks Cinch. I heard the Sneak Pass, I saw Combo (?) do the Vertical Rolls to 15K (or whatever), and that's it. I didn't even HEAR anything. Most appreciated. Thanks again.

Actually I was thinking X Plane would be the best sim, overall for airshows in general. I've never owned it, but probably will pick up 9.0 whenever I get the money. I'm reeasonably certain X Plane has pretty much every aircraft out there, and the models are at worst mostly realistic.

Virtual Video Idea

After seeing the airshow site, and seeing the Virtual Oshkosh on it, I had an idea. Since this is the Virtual Thunderbirds, and the real T'Birds are at Nellis, why not a Virtual Aviation Nation? I probabyl don't have any of the needed skills, but it would be cool to see someone or a group do at leas...

Worked for me now, weird. I think this is a great idea. I agree with the suggeston of being able to turn the music off though. Also, not to take away fromt the "home team", but you may want to use some other backgrounds then the Thunderbirds. While you do have the Blue Angels for a background on the...
