Re: Test your internet bandwidth!
Hmmm. What exactly do you mean by that? I could interpret "bandwidth of shared internet connection" a couple of different ways...don't want to answer the wrong question.Rockalbert wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 4:24 pmIs there any way to check bandwidth of shared internet connection separately?

Oculus Rift - from the cockpit of Virtual Thunderbird 6
After a couple of test flights and fiddling with graphic settings (mostly for naught, apparently - resolution at least is hard-coded for DCS / Rift) I jumped in with the team to fly our “high show” demo. Worst things first - I’m looking forward to better resolution / clarity someday. Looking around ...

Hey, Jaybird. Good to hear from you...we'll look forward to seeing your application. Sounds like we're similar vintage (I was aware of the Compu$pend ladder but didn't participate much...). I think you'll fit in well if you do apply. We've got 2 airline pilots and 2 student pilots on the team. Curve...

Don't believe any of us got to the Florida show. I've just gotten back to work recently after a 5-year layoff-induced sabbatical and attempt to leave the IT industry ("Just when I thought I was out....they pull me back in...") and have my eye on a couple of dates later this year... Oshkosh is intere...

If you ever wanna see an extreme example of what he's talking about with the stabs moving during the high alpha...try to dig up a video of an F-117 landing sometime. Can't find the vid I'm thinking of offhand, but it was a nearly side-on shot of the final approach and touchdown. Nose maintained a co...

Hmm...upgrade?
So. Right now my main rig is still running the i7-950, pushed to 4.0ghz. My media / DVR box is dying and needs replacing. I had been toying with the idea of replacing my gaming rig, and rebuilding the media box around the 950. However, searching around the interwebs tells me a top end Ivy bridge is ...

Started typing this in an email to Panther about scheduling our practice time and why it might take me a bit of extra time/planning to set up my phantom for the next few weeks/months...but thought some of you might be interested in the setup as well. I don't subscribe to local cable or satellite and...

The left solo goes on the left, right solo on right. Doesn't matter what your # is. :D Last year, right solo was #5 and left was #6...for both the real team and us. This year, the the real TB left solo is the 2nd year pilot, so now he's #5 and the incoming right solo will be #6. Barring unforseen ci...
