I've been trying it with the F-86 in FS2004 lately. I've been messing around with formation flying off and on for over a year but I still can' really keep my position very well. I was curious though, would it be easier on the wingman if the lead to tried to maintain a certain airspeed, or just maint...

Question about formation tightness

Hi everybody. I had a question about the tightness of the Thunderbirds' formations over the years. I was looking at some older pics (not sure of the years) and the formations look ridiculously tight, but now the diamond looks like it has quite a bit of space between the planes. Did this change after...

Question about the Vertical Rolls

Hi all, I just registered here. I had a quick question about the vertical rolls that one of the solo pilots do. When the solo does the aileron rolls it looks like there's also a lot of either elevator or rudder input. It looks to me like he's pushing forward on the stick to make the "corkscrew" effe...
