Several of the aeroplanes I have flown have been struck by lightning. Usually the only damage is to the pilots underwear, (KaaaaF*****gboom!!!!!) and a few scorch marks on the paint. Occasionally there are little holes left which need to be patched, but not always.

120 feet in a 747 is very very very low. If it continued to descend it would have crashed.

Well something is wrong there, your pitch attitude should be around 2 or 3 degrees nose up if properly configured and flying the correct speed.

Icqorsa, you are correct when you say the FMC is different from the Boeing although they are made by the same company, Honeywell. Apparently Boeing has some copyright features in its FMC, hence the differences. As far as NAV goes, the aircraft has two main modes, Managed or Selected. In Managed mode...

Actually if you hear the "retard" call it means you are a little late coming out of Auto-Thrust for landing.
