From my experience CAP is mostly pomp and circumstance- with sooooome cool stuff- lighting rockets and looking for downed pilots. You want to go lead pursuit of course to catch up to lead, no more than 650knts on the jet for multiple reasons but mostly so things don't get too out of hand too fast.
