Thanks for the info Lawndart... And yea, it was a low show from the start, there were no looping maneuvers at all. I'm not sure if the atmospheric "density" would have anything to do with it or not, I'm not the resident weatherman, but it was around 97 at showtime, with humidity in the upper 60's, l...

Star Spangled Salute 2010 TAFB
Attended the show today at Tinker AFB, (am also going tomorrow, and taking the good camera, will try to get some good pics). It was a typically fantastic show, but I did have a couple of questions about a couple of things... They performed a low show, and while there were some clouds around the airf...

Just thought I'd throw this in here, from the Thunderbirds Facebook post... "In Quebec City, Canada -- great city, great people. We flew a great practice show here today. Started with a high show, but transitioned to the low show after some clouds came in about half way through the show. See the pho...

I have been trying unsuccessfully to download Smoke On. Everytime it gets to about halfway, and then I get a "connection to the server has been reset". I don't have any troubles DL'ing other large files, and could probably DL it as 4 different parts, but was trying to burn it to a dvd to show some f...

Trust me Lawndart (love the name btw), any help or suggestions are always greatly appreciated! :D Got another question, but it's for another thread, so I'll head over to that one! Thanks, (Now all you have to do is teach me how to keep the aircraft from becoming literally a "lawndart" and I'll be go...

Why do Thunderbirds wear O2 masks?
I'm sure I saw this answered here before, but for the life of me can't find it... Why do the Thunderbirds fly with oxygen maks, and say the Blue Angels do not? From a wanna be pilot and avid air show junkie, thanks for all your efforts, you guys are great! Looking forward to spending Fathers Day wit...

Thanks
i think the wind was the culprit. It was blowing over 25 mph that day. I'm pretty sure the runway was wide enough, (they used it the last time they were there for a formation takeoff) it was the main runway for TAFB, AWACS use it every day. Thanks for y our info and keep up your outstanding work!! S...

Single ship takeoff question...
Attended the Star Spangled Salute at Tinker AFB on May 24th. Great show, and got to meet Maj. Scott Poteet. Very nice and informative guy. My question is that during the take off sequence the diamond pilots took off single ship, then reformed behind the crowd for the initial pass, is this because it...

Re: Differences in graphics... LOMAC vs. F4:AF
Here is a graphic representation of the differences between the 2, it's not even close... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5326753393224743667 btw...this probably shoulda been a reply to the "competition" thread, since it is a solo routine by that other "virtual thunderbirds" solo #5.
