Thanks for the input but the jury is still out on that suggestion.
I cannot see anything obvious in that file yet mentioning the heat blur effect so the a few things have to be tried.
Did you actually modify this Viper or is it a guess.
Could you paste the line of code here that represents this?

Well we have how to move the afterburner cones.
The Forsag.lom is the key here. This model just needs to be
moved into the proper position in 3D max.

Just took a read of your article Cobra and I have to say you did a very nice job on it. 8) I really liked how you went into a little detail on the beginnings of how it all started up to the present time. Some great photographs also in the article. This should definitely generate more interest in vir...
