Well it wasn't as smooth as some other shows but I still had a lot of fun. We had some new people on to watch and they seemed to enjoy it. I want to thank everyone who showed up and flew. I hope everyone will join us for our airshows this fall! I will try to post some screenshots from the show soon....

I'd suggest a Pro-97 from Radioshack, although there might be a newer model by now. It is a pretty common scanner at shows and can pick up military frequencies.

I think you have it confused with a couple years ago when both the Snowbirds and Thunderbirds were there. This year it is just the Thunderbirds.

Ryan, that's awesome! Looking forward to your vids. I didn't know you were heading up there too. Yep, it's a 12 hour road trip for me but it should be worth it. I do guess the A380 is coming right after the Tbirds performance! http://virtualsnowbirds.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=581 It's about a 5 pa...

There should also be some really good (full length) YouTube clips from Steve Holzinger after the weekend.
Not to mention some better ones by a certain other video guy.

FlyFS Mid-summer Fly-in and Virtual Airshow

To help kick off our new server and tide us over until the real virtual airshows start in the fall, I am organizing a fly-in and virtual airshow to take place on July 12 or 13. Server - FlyFS.hopto.org Airport - KPWM (Portland Int'l, Maine) This event is open to all (yes, FSX players can connect - P...

The June hoplist (coastal California) has been uploaded! Frost will be making a new one each month, so look for those in the future.

New FS2004/FSX Multiplayer Server - FlyFS.hopto.org

Hey everyone. You may have seen my previous posts here about a group of simmers who organize and perform in virtual airshows on FS2004 and FSX. I just wanted to let everyone know that we have parted ways with our old server and started our own. It is a full public server, so feel free to come and fl...

I compacted the airshow pack down and took out a few planes I don't think you'll see flying tomorrow, so hopefully it will work with FSX now. Those of you having issues should try downloading this pack instead of the other one. It's a somewhat smaller 618 MB http://www.airshowstuff.com/airshowpack2....

Well, we had one hell of a bad day, stemming from the eight or so server crashes on both FS and TS. We spent about two hours searching for servers that wouldn't go down only to see them go down in flames. Most of the people called it quits after that but a few of us stuck around and ended up on a se...
