My understanding is that the USAF has absolutely zero plans to upgrade to the Block 60 Viper. Pretty much they intend to fly out the service life of the existing birds and have placed a lot of expectation (too much, IMHO) on the new JSF program. BTW, the T-bird aircraft aren't the oldest in the inve...

I've not done much with the -15 until joining this board, all of my experience has been with the A-10 in LOMAC. However, on the real -16 and hence maybe the -15 as well (which means maybe in LOMAC?), there's a RALT> (radar altimeter) carat on the HUD symbology. When out of range of the RALT, the alt...

Corsa and all: Here's a link to a review of the Athlon X2 +3800 CPU. On the same mobo, the X2 +4800 and +3800 dual core CPU's as well as the Athlon FX-55 single core CPU were tested against a P4-mobo P4 Extreme Edition and another P4 . The reason I'm pointing this review out to everyone and not just...

Re: Wow!
I have never in my life imagined such a landing! Probably had to replace some landing gear afterwards. I know we had the ability to 'crab' on the B52s, what about these AC? Even so... just lining-up on center... wow! It's my understanding that most of the large Boeing acft w/ MLG bogies (not bogeys...

I used to think (as do many people) that military test pilots had all the balls and that civilian test pilots have life easy. That is, until I saw this link that a buddy sent me several weeks ago of some of Boeing's crosswind approach tests. Huge piece of tin with no way out... I can't even imagine ...

Excellent job w/ A320; aircrew should be commended
Just watched a JetBlue A320 land in Los Angeles on CNN w/ a NLG problem. Looked like the centering cam on the nose strut (or if it uses one, the NWS actuator centering system) failed and turned the NLG 90 degrees. After burning off fuel, pilot put it on the ground. There was some smoke and fire from...

I heard you the first time. The reason for going with the video card setup is that the legacy support for AGP is going away in the next two years. The computer can be built with old school technology for today, or it can be built on a basis of having something that will be supported and upgradable f...
