PS: While were on the subject, are USAF pilots carrier qualified? I thought I saw a pic a while back of a F-16 w/ a tailhook. The tailhook is used only when a fighter has an emergency, not to land on carriers. A tailhook isn't for an emergency...why the hell would the hook be there in the first pla...
